As we prepare to celebrate 50 years of the Sri Lanka Canada Association of Ottawa, we would love to honour the incredible journey of our community by showcasing memories from past events.
We invite our members to share photos from previous SLCAO events that capture the spirit, culture, and connection that have defined our association over the years.
You may upload up to 10 photos, along with a short description for each, to help us highlight these special moments. While we appreciate every submission, please note that due to time and space limitations, not all photos may be included in the final slideshow or souvenir though we will make every endeavor.
This initiative is being led by a team of volunteers who are helping curate and preserve these meaningful memories as part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations into a slide show.
Your contributions will play an important role in telling the story of our community and celebrating the people and moments that have shaped SLCAO over the past five decades.

Dear Members and Supporters of the SLCAO,
We hope this message finds you well.
On behalf of the Executive Committee, we would like to invite you to attend a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Sri Lanka Canada Association of Ottawa (SLCAO), which will be held as follows:

A. Proposed Amendments to the Constitution
To allow for a streamlined membership process whereby individuals may submit membership applications that can be reviewed and approved by the Executive Committee.
To empower the Executive Committee to appoint additional sub-committees, as necessary, beyond those currently specified in the Constitution, to better support the evolving needs of the organization.
B. Support for the SLCAO 50th Anniversary Celebrations
As we approach this significant milestone, we would like to discuss how we can collectively support and strengthen the planning and execution of our 50th Anniversary celebrations.This milestone is more than just a celebration—it is an opportunity for us to come together as a community and reflect on who we are and what we can build together. By strengthening our association, we can continue to:
Support Sri Lankan businesses within our community
Welcome and guide newcomers to Canada
Preserve and share our rich culture and traditions
Inspire and engage the next generation
Extend our collective support to Sri Lanka when it matters most
The 50th Anniversary presents a unique and meaningful opportunity to deepen our sense of unity, pride, and purpose as Sri Lankan Canadians.
Your participation and voice are important. We strongly encourage all members to attend and contribute to these discussions as we shape the future of our association together.
